Quentin Tarantino seemingly isn’t satisfied with an almost three-hour
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood film, a novelisation of that film, and a spin-off TV series. Now, he’s also hinted that a stage play is in the works, which would allow him to elaborate on the sprawling story.
“Believe it or not, I’ve written a play version,” the director says in a recent appearance on film podcast
The Big Picture. “I wanted to write a play, and stuff that’s not in the book… I wanted it to exist as a play.” Comparing it to the novelisation which delves deeper into the backstory of Brad Pitt’s stuntman character, Cliff Booth he adds: “Again, I’m able to explore stuff that’s not in the (movie).”

El cineasta Quentin Tarantino inició su carrera asegurando que solo filmará diez películas y luego dejaría los largometrajes. Aunque, en aquel entonces, el tiempo parecía muy lejano, resulta que en 2019 estrenó su noveno título, ‘Érase una vez en… Hollywood’, el cual contó con estrellas de renombre como Brad Pitt, Leonardo Dicaprio y Margot Robbie.
Antes de anunciar su último filme, Tarantino confirmó que su próximo proyecto será una obra de teatro. «Créanlo o no, he escrito una obra de teatro sobre ‘Érase una vez en… Hollywood’. Quería escribir teatro y meter cosas que no estuvieran en la película ni en el libro. Tiene que ver con Italia», dijo el director en una entrevista para el podcast The Big Picture.
