OKLAHOMA CITY -
The fear of being injured or even killed remains at Oklahoma City parks thanks to October s historic ice storm.
The City just approved more money to get rid of those dangers before it’s too late.
“There s a term in forestry called the widow-maker. They would fall on the lumberjacks and foresters and unfortunately, kill them,” said Martin Nature Park Naturalist Will Hagenbuck.
Hagenbuck said half of the nature park’s two and half miles of trails are closed due to broken limbs still hanging in trees.
“They could come down next week, they could come down tomorrow or today, said Hagenbuck.
