Park City police officers last week and early this week continued to pull over drivers at well over the posted speed limits in a variety of locations. The agency appeared to be conducting typical traffic.
In one of the reports, on Sunday, June 11 at 9:30 a.m., two vehicles were blocking part of the road on Round Valley Way in the area of a trailhead, according to the police logs.
There were strings of traffic stops in disparate locations at various points. Some of the cases involved suspected speeding while other traffic stops were based on what the police described as an array of other offenses.
Park City Councilor Ryan Dickey on Monday submitted paperwork at City Hall formalizing his campaign for a first full term in office, a filing that was expected after he had previously signaled his intention to become a candidate.
