The Los Angeles County district attorney's office said Wednesday it would not file charges against five Inglewood police officers who shot and killed a couple who appeared to be unconscious inside a car in 2016.
The killings of Marquintan Sandlin and Kisha Michael after officers found them unconscious in a car led to the firing of five officers and Inglewood paying $8.6 million to settle wrongful death lawsuits.
Prosecutors confirmed Wednesday that the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office decided it could not bring criminal charges against five former Inglewood.
