South Dakota State quarterback Mark Gronowski has been named the winner of the Walter Payton award as the FCS offensive player of the year. This was announced at the Stats Perform FCS national awards banquet Saturday night ahead of the national championship game where Gronowski and SDSU will take on Montana. Gronowski won the award.
(Frisco, TX) The South Dakota State Jackrabbit are back-to-back FCS champs. SDSU took down Montana with a 23-3 win in Frisco, Texas, on Sunday. The Jackrabbits led by just four at halftime, but Mark Gronowski had a rushing touchdown and a passing touchdown in the third quarter to help put the game away.
