The Bombay High Court on Wednesday directed for an interim compensation of Rs 10 crore to be paid to the families of fishermen whose livelihood has been affected due to the ongoing construction of the third Thane creek bridge near Vashi
Fishermen families whose livelihood has been affected due to the construction of the third Thane Creek Bridge will receive Rs 10 crore in compensation, the Bombay High Court said.
A bench of Justices Shahrukh Kathawalla and Milind Jadhav on Thursday afternoon initially passed orders staying the work of the contentious project asking the authorities to pay Rs 1 lakh to each of the 900 fishermen.
