The Essex-Windsor Solid Waste Authority board unanimously voted to seek an an independent proponent to conduct a peer review of the recommendations presented to it by its Food and Organic Oversight and Technical Committee on how to meet the province’s mandate for reducing organic waste from landfills.
The review is to be completed in a maximum of 90 days and will study the financial, technology and science behind the recommendations made in conjunction with consultants GDH Engineering.
