Cowgirls falter late in road loss to NAU

Cowgirls Falter Late in Road Loss To NAU FLAGSTAFF, Ariz., The Wyoming Cowgirl tennis team lost a hard-fought match Saturday at Northern Arizona as the Cowgirls were unable to hold onto an early lead on the road as the Lumberjacks were able to rally for a 5-2 win. When you re on the road playing a team that hasn t lost at home in almost two years, you have to put them away when you have the opportunities, said UW head coach  Dean Clower after the match. We had the momentum during this match for over two hours and we let them hang around until they got back into the match. Kudos to NAU for not going away and taking the match from us. Being a young team like we are isn t an excuse, and we will fix it.

Colorado Sweeps Wyoming

Feb 13, 2021 BOULDER – The University of Colorado women s tennis team defeated Wyoming, 7-0, here Saturday afternoon to remain undefeated at home this season.   We re happy about today, a little up and down in doubles, but at the end we were able to get back to our aggressive ways and come up with the wins, said head coach Danielle Steinberg. We didn t get a lot of rhythm during the match, but we were able to keep calm and do what we need to do to maintain our momentum. Like I say every week, we just want to get better every week. I think we did that today. We have a big weekend coming up with BYU coming here and us going to Denver. Those are two great opportunities for us to play high level teams, so I m hoping to have a good week of practice and be ready for Friday.
