The Isaiah 1:17 Project needs help packing 3,000 bags for ‘Day of Hope’ By 14 News Staff | January 1, 2021 at 10:56 AM CST - Updated January 1 at 10:56 AM GIBSON CO., Ind. (WFIE) - The Isaiah 1:17 Project plans to package 3,000 bags of hope on their “Day of Hope” on Jan. 17. More than 1,300 Southwest Indiana children are currently in foster care. During the transitions into foster care, they often don’t have belongings of their own. The Isaiah 1:17 Project provides Bags of Hope to children in transition to foster care across eight Southwestern Indiana counties. “On a day when a child is often losing everything they know and own, we are able give them a bag filled with age-appropriate clothing, supplies and comfort items that belong solely to them,” said Marcia Lambert, Director of The Isaiah 1:17 Project.
