Valerien Ismael has challenged his Barnsley side to display a ‘winning mentality’ as they seek their first Championship victory of 2021 at lowly Nottingham Forest tomorrow.
The Reds have taken only one point from their four league games in 2021 as, after losing to the top three, they let slip a 2-0 lead in a 2-2 draw with Cardiff City on Wednesday.
Forest are 20th in the league, two points clear of the relegation zone and ten behind the 12th-placed Reds.
Ismael said: “We need to make a breakthrough with a win to go back up the table. We need the winning mentality back. We know it will be a tough game in Nottingham who are a strong team.
