order to vote? 80% support a voter i.d. mara, it seems like this issue, this issue alone is pretty much closed. martha: yes, voter i.d. has bipartisan support, that s why when joe manchin floated his alternative to h.r. 1 it was stripped down and had a couple key features 15 days of early voting, voting i.d., national holiday for election day. democrats pretty much embraced it. the voter i.d. is, i agree a closed case. there are a lot of other things the democrats feel very strongly about like partisan control of vote counting which are embedded in some of these new state laws around the country. yes, on that, voter i.d. maybe you could start building some kind of compromise, at least inside the democratic party. you will never get 10 republicans for any kind of voting rights law. on that one there is a consensus. bret: you know, trey, there was a lot of talk about jim crow relived in some of these bills
