As tensions simmer and instances of violence continue to break out in different parts of Manipur, students who had to flee are now making use of makeshift arrangements to attend classes.
“We will try to process the admission as fast as possible in case any student from Manipur wants to resume their education in Karnataka,” Karnataka school education minister Madhu Bangarappa said.
According to Delhi's Education Department, 138 children from Manipur have been admitted to schools in the Capital since the May 3 violence, and 290 applications are still being processed.
