Raising concern over the differential treatment being meted out in Pakistan, activist Mama Qadeer Baloch said that every corrupt political party are being allowed to protest but the families of Baloch missing persons are abducted by the Pakistan Army despite their peaceful protest.
Despite all promises made by the government, these abductions continue. Successive governments have spoken of the issue in terms of diplomacy with an unnamed third party.
KPC marks veteran journalist Siddiq Baloch’s third death anniversary

Speaking at an event to mark the third death anniversary of renowned journalist Siddiq Baloch on Saturday, speakers lamented that the government was taking steps against the media at the time when it was going through an ‘unprecedented crisis’.
The Karachi Press Club (KPC) had organised a seminar, titled ‘Freedom of Expression’, at the club’s auditorium on the occasion of the death anniversary of Baloch, who served as the editor of Balochistan Express and Azadi dailies. He passed away on February 6, 2018, in Quetta.
Speaking at the event, KPC President Fazil Jamili, academic D Tausif Ahmed Khan, and senior journalists Mazhar Abbas, Anwar Sajidi, Wustaullah Khan, Dr Jabbar Khattak, and Maqsood Yousafi shared fond memories of the late journalist and paid tributes to him for his struggle for press freedom, democracy and student rights.

New Delhi, Jan 13 : Pakistan has launched a blanket offensive in Balochistan province in the name of counter-terrorism following the brutal killing of 11 coal miners belonging to the ethnic Hazara community. Balochistan s home minister Mir Ziaullah Langove said Monday that a large-scale operation against terrorists has been started in the province to find the real culprits of the gruesome murder of 11 coal miners from the Hazara minority community. The massacre took place in Machh area on January 3.
