Police have charged two parents after their 27-year-old son, weighing just 43 pounds, was taken to hospital in acute medical distress.

He said police aren’t aware of any complaints or concerns raised about the level of care provided by the man’s parents before October 2020.
While acknowledging the ongoing pandemic has increased financial and other challenges for many Calgarians, Hancott said there’s no excuse for what police are calling severe neglect.
