BIRTHDAY STAR: Actor Rami Malek was born in Los Angeles, Calif., on this day in 1981. This birthday star won a 2019 Best Actor Oscar and rave reviews for his portrayal of the late singer Freddie Mercury in “Bohemian Rhapsody.” His other film work includes roles in “Papillon,” “Buster’s Mal Heart,” and “Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb.” Malek also won a 2016 Emmy in the Lead Actor category for playing Elliot Alderson on the series “Mr. Robot.”
