That they were going to shut down the subacute unit at st. Lukes hospital. I was a bit taken aback and i know many members of the community were as well. And so we came in that week, spoke with my colleagues supervisor ronen, whose district this actually resides in st. Lukes. But, you know, for the residents of my neighborhood, st. Lukes is a lifeline and has always been a lifeline. And will continue to a lifeline. Most recently evidenced by the fire that happen in the our district, just a week ago, where two members of our community passed away from smoke inhalation. So just want to say that this is not an easy conversation and never has been an easy conversation. But one thing that we did note, and i just want to underscore, there were human beings in these beds. And there are currently still human beings in these beds. And so we came in, we asked for an emergency hearing. We had that hearing. We were not satisfied with the answers that we got. And then we asked for a hearing under e
Maybe we could fix that. Back to you, supervisor safai. Supervisor safai thank you. Were going to call up kelly here in a moment. Shell have an opportunity to speak and play out a plan. We want to allow gloria and raquel, one of the families that are currently in subacute care to come up and speak about their experiences and their conditions their sister. Then we will ask San Francisco for health care housing, jobs and Justice Coalition mark erickson, salini am i saying that right . Salini. And then from the California Nurses Association c. N. A. And then were going to ask benson nadal from the longterm Care Ombudsman Program and well open it up for Public Comment. So again i just want to end with its this is this is gutwrenching. This is heartbreaking to see the conditions, to see the individuals living and trying to survive and again this is something i have never experienced. And i understand that its it is heartwrenching to experience that type of circumstances with the Family Memb
Once again for today due to the dangerous heat and a high fire danger with a red flag warning still in effect until 11 00 a. M. For the northbay mountains, east bay hills and diablo range. We will talk about the changes as we had through the week coming up. Can a look at traffic right now, so far so good at least at the papers, no major delays to report traffic moving as expected this hour as you work your way out of oakland into San Francisco this morning with no delays on the upper deck. Cause stack up just a little bit but still an easy right as you head into San Francisco this morning. Travel times are 580 as a commutative tracy this morning, youre going to see brake lights starting in tracy out of motels, state 37 minutes, that is your drive time from 205 on westbound 580 all the way toward 680. As you are on 680 itself, both directions in the green, no delays in the eastbound freeway. I am anne makovec. We have a large fire on mayer island, you can see it burning on the southern
Fully aware of this. Making a last offer here without talking to united to save the mission does not show respect for the community. I dont think it shows respect for the commission that sent us back to Work Together and talk. Thank you. Thank you. Next speaker, please. Hi there. I am john jensen. A citizen of San Francisco and i support projects like this. I just want to be on the record that i support this project. Thank you. Thank you. Any other Public Comment on this item . Public comment is now closed. Mr. Kaplan, question. How long have you been out this at this entitlement . I believe this project has been on file since 2015. How long has active entitlement process been . For years now. Thank you. Any other comments, commissioners . Ill bring up the same thing about a plus time to vote for approval of the project. Commissioner richards. I opened this hearing and Commission Comment saying i dont want to see us under any illusion that we are approving a Housing Project to have a g
If we move ahead to do anything with this project i would require that we condition it to have my affirmative vote, that we limit the amount of Corporate Housing rental that could be on the project to some reasonable level. What is a reasonable level . 10 . Why not zero . Zero. Okay. Would that maker of the motion except that accept that . Before i second its, another question i have of the project sponsor. He put an offer on the table, i dont want to get into private agreements, they cant accept it due to their process. If we approve it does the offer just to stay there . Can you just let them have it . Let me say this. The offer through yesterday was still on the table, which was the same offer the group had accepted previously. Should the commission approve this project today, there is a 30 day appeal time frame, i want to give anyway tricks of the trades. Theres another appeals in which we would be happy to not have to go through. There is more opportunities for this deal to still
