No foul play is suspected in the death of a woman whose body was found the afternoon of Dec. 8 on private property off Edsel Road in Traphill, stated a press release from Major Logan Kerr of the Wilkes Sheriffâs Office.
An autopsy confirmed that it was the body of Tammy Lee Cooper, 39, of Traphill, the press release stated. âThe preliminary results from the autopsy suspect no foul play in the death but this is an active investigation at this time,â it said.
Kerr said the autopsy indicated that Cooper had been dead a few days. The sheriffâs office recovered the body after it was discovered by a contractor working on the property. The body was then transported to a forensic pathologist for an autopsy.
