Australia this morning after a deadly helicopter crash killed three u.s. marines. officials say 23 marines were on board the as spree aircraft for a routine training exercise when it crashed off an island off australia s northern rp coast. sarah james has the latest from australia. reporter: the crash happened just one month after four australian soldiers were lost in a helicopter crash during separate training exercises between the two nations. this morning recovery efforts under way on melville island off the coast of main land australia. three u.s. marines died in the tragic crash in an aircraft similar to this one, which occurred while transporting troops in a routine military exercise. its cause still under investigation. the emergency operations center will now focus on the recovery of the three deceased marines with dig any.
