Southern Kaduna mourns Secretary General, Medical, Health Union of Nigeria, Silas Adamu

Daily Post Nigeria Published The Southern Kaduna People’s Union, SOKAPU, has mourned the demise of a member of its National Executive Council, NEC, Dr Silas Adamu, his wife and daughter on Monday in a motor accident along the Kaduna-Abuja expressway. A statement issued by its National Public Relations Officer, Luka Binniyat, noted that “Dr. Silas who was the President of Atyap Community Development Association (ACDA) was a man who spent most of his adult life as a unionist, fighting for the rights and better welfare of the workers he represented.” The statement explained that Comrade Silas Adamu rose to the rank of Secretary-General of Medical and Health Union of Nigeria (MHUN), stressing that he contested and won the last ACDA national elections to emerge its President last December.

Port Harcourt-Maiduguri Railway Rehabilitation Will Reactivate Economic Activities Along Eastern Corridor – Buhari

Channels Television   Updated March 9, 2021 President Muhammadu Buhari presides virtually over the rehabilitation and reconstruction of Port Harcourt- Maiduguri Eastern Narrow-Gauge Railway.     President Muhammadu Buhari has said that the Port Harcourt–Maiduguri railway rehabilitation would reactivate economic activities along the Eastern corridor. The President spoke Tuesday at the virtual ground-breaking ceremony of three projects namely the rehabilitation and reconstruction of Port Harcourt– Maiduguri Eastern Narrow Gauge railway project, Bonny deep seaport and Railway Industrial Park, Port Harcourt. He said the insecurity had affected economic activities but Nigeria’s aspiration for nationwide transport infrastructure and railways would be significantly enhanced by these three projects conceived to be integrated into their operations.
