Diphu, Aug. 21 (EMN): The second DHD & DHD (J) Martyr’s Trophy kicked off on Sunday at Dishru Cultural Club playground, Maibang, Dima Hasao, Assam. The opening ceremony of the tournament was graced by executive member, Dima Hasao Autonomous Council (DHAC), Bijit Langthasa, as chief guest and executive members, DHAC, Rothon Jaramphusa and Nojit Khemprai as guests of honour Langthasa in his speech urged the players to keep the spirit of sportsmanship. He also appreciated and thanked both the DHD &DHD (J) saying that all round development was ushered in Dima Hasao after the MoS of both organisations with Government of India in 2013. Altogether, 23 teams are taking part in the tournament with the opening match played between Waislai and Royal FC Lanka The champion team will walk away with INR 2,00,000 and runner up INR 1,20,000.
