CD gate: Satish Jarkiholi met kin of woman seen in sex tape at Nidagundi

Express News Service BAGALKOT/VIJAYAPURA: Besides a full-fledged investigation by the police and other investigating agencies to trace the people involved in the CD gate scandal, the family of former Water Resources Department Ramesh Jarkiholi has launched its own investigation into the case.  Even before the sleaze CD turned viral on social media a few days ago, Ramesh’s brother and KPCC working president Satish Jarkiholi flew from Gokak in his helicopter to Nidagundi village, near Bagalkot where the family of the woman seen in the sleaze CD was believed to be residing. A top police source said, “Satish came to Kudalasangama in his private chopper on March 5. He first visited a quarry owned by his family members near Hunagund and Khustagi villages, and then visited the relatives and family of the woman allegedly seen in the CD on the same day at Nidagundi village.” 

Union Minister Amit Shah says farm laws will be implemented soon, assures doubling of farmers income

Express News Service BAGALKOT: Union Home Minister Amit Shah asserted that, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government top priority is to double the income of farmers with the implementation of three new farm laws.” Shah was addressing the gathering after laying the foundation stone for expansion of 75,000 TCD sugar complex, 260 MW Co-generation and 26 lakh kilo liters per day Ethanol, Bio CNG and CO2 production plants of MRN (Nirani) Group of Industries at Kerakalamatti village near Badami. While the talks between the central government and farmers, protesting against the implementation of three new farm laws at New Delhi nearly two months, failed to see a happy end as farmers remained firm on their demands. Shah reiterated that, “There is no question of repealing the farm laws. These farm laws, which are aimed at enriching the lives of farmers with strengthening them financially, will be implemented in the coming days.”

Four Mudhols from Karnataka set to join Indian Air Force soon

Express News Service BAGALKOT: Mudhol hound is becoming popular with each passing day as it is all set to be inducted into Indian Air Force (IAF) in February. Following a request from IAF officials from Uttar Pradesh, who approached Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University of Bidar seeking seven Mudhol puppies, the dogs are being bred at Canine Research and Information Centre (CRIC) of Thimmapur near Mudhol that comes under the purview of the varsity. Speaking to The New Indian Express, Dr Mahesh Akashi, head of CRIC said, “A couple of weeks ago, IAF officials wrote to us placing an order for seven puppies. However, we are providing them only four puppies this year two male and two females because of lack of availability at the breeding centre. Another three puppies will be supplied next year as per the agreement.”
