New Delhi: Union Minister Ramdas Athawale on Friday slammed the Congress party alleging that it has threatened Bollywood superstars Akshay Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan over their tweets against the fuel price hike during the UPA regime. Congress Nana Patole s threat to Akshay Kumar & Amitabh Bachchan for not tweeting against fuel price hike by Centre is not okay. My party is with them. If Congress threatens to disturb their shoot, we ll give them protection, ANI quoted Athawale as saying.

His remark has come days after Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s assertion that the Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress alliance, Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), would fight together in all local body elections, including the Mumbai civic poll, and after the MVA defeated the BJP in the recent Legislative Council polls.
