space going on than carl s very happy about that from president trump says it into wind and. with the music carl is one 100% right the box republicans find themselves in it when you see that selection of a new chair or reelection of the incumbent because the parties divided between the maga trump base and more moderate establishment republicans. ronna is going to underscore that service how to produce a candidate that can win. i don t know if trump was a good bet to be that candidate for you to new hampshire, south caroli carolina, last time you got about 30% of the vote in south carolina. but it got him one 100% of the delegates. think this time we are seeing him pursue a very clear strategy where do i go to get the delegates? it s a little different and not as much of the rallies to his point. we see him now engaging with the republican party delegates. shannon: is is a bigger rallies

january 6th? i mean, it certainly concerns me but it s not surprising. yeah. that rhetoric, the same rhetoric that resulted in the january 6th attack on the u.s. capitol by maga trump supporters is the same rhetoric that continues to be used by republican candidates for national office all the way down to state and local elected offices and so, you know, we see this rhetoric inspiring acts of violence. so i mean, look, obviously, there are acts of violence committed against democrats and republicans. we saw the shooting of steve scalise and the congressional republicans playing baseball and attempted assassination of supreme court justice brett kavanaugh and paul pelosi january 6th. and on and on and on. it does seem more prevalent on the right against democrats than republicans but either way, there is too much of it.
than trump. it s just the same policies for the last six years under the former president. i hope you can see my face right now, david jolly, i agree with. you alexi, a lot of these lines, say no match mcconnell faced a very strong challenge to his leadership position. but he did when, my question to you, is what is your reporter telling you about this grip he may not have on his members going into this next congress? is it looser than we ve seen in the past? certainly. as the former congressman was alluding to. there s a moment happening with the republican party, they re trying to figure out how to get away from trumpism. whether or not they get policies, and that style of governing remains to be seen. even on the campaign trail, senator mcconnell had detractors in those maga trump back the senate candidates. i m thinking of someone like blake masters in arizona. who of course lost. when folks are blaming trump, or mcconnell s looking on
