Maeve Lawler is the nightside co-op on The Globe’s City/Express Desk. She is pursuing a journalism degree at Emerson College, with minors in publishing and political science, and served as the deputy enterprise editor of the student newspaper, The Berkeley Beacon. She also has bylines in The Somerville Times and Jamaica Plain News. Maeve is from Scituate, Massachusetts.
Kasteel Well, a Dutch national monument, is a moated castle nestled in the countryside of Well, Netherlands. Each day, students cross a wide wooden bridge to access the medieval brick buildings that stand out against the lush, green grass of surrounding gardens and fields. This sometimes eerie-feeling set of historic buildings is brought to life.
