KATHMANDU, Sept 1: The Tatopani border crossing between Nepal and China has finally reopened for the movement of people after being closed for eight years. Today, the residents of Sindhupalchowk, who obtained the entry permit from the Department of Immigration from the Miteri bridge in Liping, left for China after being checked by the Chinese security personnel. The Chinese officials warmly welcomed the team including Member of Parliament (MP) Madhav Sapkota.
Human mobility through the Tatopani border check point in Sindhupalchowk district bordering China has been resumed from today onward, after a hiatus of eight years.
Lawmakers have filed candidacies for the election of chairs of 10 thematic committees in the House of Representatives. These thematic committees also include the two joint committees — Parliamentary Hearing Committee and State Directives Principles and Policy Monitoring and Implementation Committee.
