MACON, Ga. Macon Mayor Lester Miller announced a new list of rundown, burned out, or abandoned homes the county plans to tear down Wednesday.
Many are concentrated just outside of the downtown area.
Most of the properties have code violations going back more than 7 years.
Here are the buildings planned for the next round of demoltions:

1493 Third Street

MACON, Ga. Mayor Lester Miller wrapped up his first budget proposal to the Macon-Bibb Commission Tuesday afternoon. He pitched an over $174 million budget for the county for fiscal year 2022 slightly higher than the 2021 amended budget.

Now aside from that, the proposed budget outlines the mayor s top priorities from public safety to cleaning up blight.

MACON, Ga. Macon-Bibb County hosted a cleanup event on Saturday.
Last Friday, Macon Mayor Lester Miller announced a new plan to reduce illegal dumping in Macon.
In the programs first week, the county says they ve removed over 87,000 pounds of debris from illegal dumps and cleared over 100 cubic yards of waste.
The county hosts cleanups in different parts of the city.
Organizer of Saturday s event, George Crawley, says it takes a lot of community efforts to cleanup a city.
