take the scary out of life with travelers insurance. and see the world in a different light. five years after hurricane katrina and six months after the saints won their first-ever super bowl, the city of new orleans is buzzing with excitement and also reflecting with some sadness today as they prepare to open the nfl season at home against want minnesota vikings. the site, of course, the superdome, which is a symbol of both victory and survival. brian williams, anchor and managing editor of nightly news joins me live from new orleans where he s been so many times since katrina. i know your documentary premieres tomorrow night here on msnbc. how arcable this city is, how resilient, because they really have taken what was devastating
heads around here. tornadoes started to drop out of the sky at 6:00 last evening. this is one of the damage one of them left hand. it sliced through the city and ended up in the industrial park. the gentleman driving that 18 whiler was in the cab when it was basically rotated around in that updraft and slammed into this warehouse. no one inside the warehouse, so no one hurt there. the driver had just some minor injuries. the national weather service is still surveying the damage here in dallas, but they tell me as many as eight twisters popped up again from a lot of that convection popping up through the middle of the day. earlier we had the flooding here in dallas. later in the date tornadoes. the good news is it s all out of here and it s all no more but a lot of are still reeling from what happened and very surprised by it, chris. thanks, julie. next on msnbc, is it a case of never let the facts get in the way of a good sfoer? tony blair is accused of turning
