Problem at one beach small, plastic pieces showing up in San Francisco. Nbc bay areas Christie Smith joining us live from ocean beach with more on the mess. Christie. Reporter well, terry, its kind of hard to see until you take a walk way out there on the beach. And when you look down, you see little pieces of white that appear to be plastic and styrofoam along parts of ocean beach here in San Francisco that appear to have washed up. The Golden Gate National rec area says they have been getting a few calls earlier this week, they have taken a look and done just a little bit of cleanup, but right now, theyre not sure where its coming from, but they say it looks like its actually moving around with the tide. Theyve actually gotten reports of this plastic debris on a few other beaches in the area. We spoke with one man who says he first noticed it and called it in after the storms this week. And you know, it was quite disturbing, because the pieces are small, for the most part. You know,

That large plume of smoke. There were on the scene that this was a big deal and they also upgraded this to a threealarm fire and sprayed water on to it from outside instead of going into the building. It took them about one hour to get this building fire knocked down. The main concern because of the confederabecause of theindustrl scene it wanted to make sure that the people that were working nearby were aware of the dangers of that black smoke.
