Thanks to voters of Hartford
This is a letter of thanks to all those who supported my reelection campaign to the Hartford Selectboard. Many of you wrote letters to the
Valley News Forum, made social media posts, posted signs and held conversations with neighbors. Hearing such support from so many residents, as well as so many community members who run nonprofits in Hartford, made all the difference and was the key to success. Your vote is your voice and you let it be heard loud and clear.
I am honored to have received such wide support and look forward to continuing to serve the town for three more years. I must also give a shout of thanks to our town clerk, Lisa O’Neil, and the entire election team for all the work they did (for months) to make this election run so smoothly during a pandemic. Town Meeting preview: Lyme zoning amendment geared toward senior housing development

Hot topic: In ballot voting on Town Meeting Day, Lyme voters will be asked to approve a zoning amendment aimed at allowing for the development of senior housing near municipal and social services. The measure has the support of the town’s Planning Board.
Budget: During the floor portion of Town Meeting that has been postponed until May, Lyme voters will be asked to approve a $2.43 million town operating budget, up $40,000 from the budget voters approved last year. Also in May, Lyme voters will be asked to approve a $7.54 million school budget this year, up about $280,000 or nearly 4% from the budget voters approved last year.

LYME, NH Michael Steven Woodard of Lyme was born in Los Angeles on April 24, 1950, the third son of John Sloan Woodard and Mary Patricia (Shields) Woodard of Butte, Montana. His parents bought the Donner Ski Ranch above Lake Tahoe, California soon after, where Michael spent the first part of his childhood. His family lived in the lodge and his father, an engineer and inventor, was the proprietor, engaging friends and strangers alike while maintaining most everything else on the 500-acre operation–talents he clearly passed on to his youngest son.
Michael attended Marlboro College in Vermont, where he majored in educational psychology and met his wife of 48 years, Barbara Simon, when, in typical fashion, he offered her a ride to the bus station in his Volvo wagon. After marrying in Marlboro in June of 1973, they moved immediately to Lyme, where they have lived ever since, first at the top of Bliss Lane, and now on North Thetf
