2021 softball overview: With two years’ removal from playing, pitching looms even larger
The lost season last year should benefit pitchers over hitters, and lift teams who feature an ace in the circle.

“She has a really good presence on the court,” Ouellette said. “She’s just one of our leaders out on the court, being able to calm everyone down.”
Winthrop had eight different scorers, including seven in the first half, which the hosts ended with a 37-9 lead.
“In practice the past few days we’ve really worked on taking our time and finding the open looks on offense, rotating the ball multiple times, and the girls looked really good today doing that,” Ramblers co-coach Jess Merrill said. “So it’s good momentum moving forward and good confidence-booster for them.”
