The only setback in an otherwise peaceful polling experience at yesterday’s Rangpur City Corporation election was the significant slowdown of voting pace due to technical difficulties with the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
Mostafizar Rahman Mostafa, the Jataya Party-backed mayoral candidate in the Rangpur City Corporation elections, is leading in 200 centres as the vote-counting began at 6:00 pm today.
