Panasonic brings wireless live streaming to Lumix GH5 II

Panasonic has updated its Micro Four Thirds stills/video hybrid flagship camera, to give the Lumix GH5 II. In many respects the new model is very similar to its predecessor, with the same dimensions and physical design. However a few controls have been reassigned, with an AF-ON button on the back in place of AF/AE Lock, along with a Photo Style button on top.

On the whole, the main photographic specifications are also unchanged. The camera employs a 20.3MP sensor that offers a sensitivity range of ISO 100-25,600, and is capable of shooting at 12 frames per second with focus fixed, or 9fps with autofocus between frames. Its central electronic viewfinder offers 3.68m-dot resolution and 0.72x (equivalent) magnification. Panasonic has announced not one but two follow-up cameras to the Lumix GH5, a camera that’s been popular with videographers since it launched in 2017. There’s the GH6, which Panasonic says features a brand-new sensor and will launch by the end of the year for $2,500, and the GH5 Mark II, which is going up for preorder today, with a body-only package coming in at $1,700.

Panasonic India on Wednesday launched a new camera for vloggers and content producers in India. The newly launched Lumix G100 is a part of the company’s Lumix G series mirrorless cameras and it costs ₹58,990 for the variant without the grip and ₹67,990 for the variant with the grip and it will be available for purchase on Amazon India starting today.
Coming to the features, the new Lumix G100 mirrorless camera comes with a 20.3-megapixel MOS Sensor without Low Pass Filter, which the company says features higher resolution and a larger size than found in smartphones. It offers a sensitivity of up to 25600 ISO, which makes the images captured at night or low light clear. It has a 5-Axis Hybrid image stabilizer that provides effective shake suppression under wide-ranging situations such as recording while walking or riding on a moving vehicle for stable, easy-to-see video.
