After 20 months of negotiations, the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District and the Fairbanks Education Association reached a tentative agreement on teacher pay August 3.
The Fairbanks North Star Borough School District will receive an additional $4 million in local supplemental funding after the Borough Assembly unanimously approved the amount Thursday night.
The Fairbanks North Star Borough Assembly will be asked to approve supplemental funding for local education and the school district at the assembly’s regular meeting Thursday night.
