Two candidates running in the local May 1 election received a major endorsement Tuesday from one of the most recognizable names in politics.
U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders tweeted his support for Terri Castillo, a candidate for San Antonio City Council District 5, and for Luke Amphlett, who is running to unseat Arthur V. Valdez in San Antonio ISD District 4.
