AYODHYA: The blueprint for the Ram temple foundation in Ayodhya could not be hammered out on Thursday even after a five-hour brainstorming session at Faizabad Circuit House chaired by temple construction committee chief, Nripendra Mishra, with country’s top engineers.
The design is likely to be finalised in the next round of discussions on Friday after engineers of Larsen & Toubro, Tata Group and other experts arrive at a consensus on composition of the retaining wall, which will be erected to block the meandering stream from Saryu that flows under the Ramjanmabhoomi site, said a key member of the temple trust. “The design has to include the possibility of the Saryu river changing course, swamping its banks and then damaging the foundation,” he said.

Abhishek Kaushal, an MTech (Mechatronics) student at the Centre for Advanced Studies (CAS) – a constituent institute of Dr APJ Kalam Abdul Kalam Technical University – is developing an advanced ‘swarm robotics system’ in which multiple robots and drones can work like a swarms of bees.

LUCKNOW: Four men were arrested on Thursday for allegedly holding a 16-year-old girl captive for more than a year and gang-raping her in Mahanagar. Police said that the men had lured her with a job as a domestic help and sold her to different people over 13 months.
The girl, five months pregnant, managed to flee the house of her captors. Police lodged an FIR after her parents filed a complaint and nabbed the four.
Commissioner of police DK Thakur said, “We have arrested Upreta Kumar (57), Jeetu Kashyap (38), Ajay Kumar
(47) and Varun Tiwari (38) for holding a minor girl captive and raping her. Our teams are looking for other accused.”
