Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Apr 26 (PTI) Nearly 7.4 per cent of the 1.49 eligible voters cast their ballots till 9 am in eight Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra in the second phase of general elections on Friday, officials said.
Karnataka Lok Sabha Election 2024: A case has been filed against Tejasvi Surya, BJP MP and Bangalore South candidate, for allegedly seeking votes based on religion. The Election Commission announced this on Friday. Surya is contesting against Sowmya Reddy, Congress candidate and daughter of Karnataka Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy. Karnataka s Chief Electoral Officer stated that the case was registered at Jayanagar police station in Bengaluru. Meanwhile, five complaints were lodged with the Election Commission, including one against CM Siddaramaiah for speaking to workers inside a polling booth in Mysuru.
Surat, Apr 25 (PTI) Surat MP-elect Mukesh Dalal, BJP's first candidate to be declared winner unopposed, has asked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi if the election of several other parliamentarians in the past without poll battle amounted to death of the Constitution.
