LR chooses Greece for maritime performance hub

The classification society has selected Greece to base its new Maritime Performance Services (MPS) Hub in South Europe which will act as an umbrella of the recently launched Decarbonisation Advisory Centre and Nettitude cyber-security operations centre, offering the full portfolio of LR’s advisory and software services, enabling clients to improve their environmental performance, facilitate fleet management and optimise the efficiency of their vessels. Andy McKeran, LR Maritime Performance Services director, said the hub underpins LR’s global strategy to address the key business challenges of clients and support safe, sustainable and efficient operations.

Singapore support for maritime digitalisation Singapore has further accelerated its drive to advance the maritime digital transformation with the recent announcement that it will grant funding for Singapore-based shipping companies to digitalise their operations.
