dave. wednesday was yet another busy day for severe weather across the central parts of the u.s. nine confirmed tornado reports from oklahoma to texas, parts of illinois and iowa. look at the hail and wind reports as well. now, that chance of severe weather slowly shifting to the east. here s our threat today. anywhere from dallas to little rock, louisville, and into parts of the mid-atlantic, large hail, damaging winds the primary concern, but we can t rule out the potential for an isolated tornado. look at the showers and storms erupting across this region. again, the ohio river valley into the plains. but as we head through the course of the weekend, we really start to see the rain shift to the new england coast, 2 to 4 inches, perhaps locally higher amounts from the nation s capital through the big apple. and look how this impacts our temperatures as well. lower 50s as we head into saturday. starting to rebound as we reach mother s day by the end of the weekend, but it s not only t

again, good friday, temperatures much warmer across parts of the south. upper 70s across parts of dallas, never san antonio 74 degrees your high temperature in new orleans. for chicago and minneapolis, not too bad. we are talking middle 50s, lower 50s out here across portions of the midwest and we have to deal with a couple of showers and storms across the center of the country. right now coming down across parts of missouri. later this afternoon we could see severe weather occurring across portions of the western panhandle and western parts of oklahoma. danging wind gusts, large him hail and isolated tornadoes will be a concern for part of these storms. same storm system in the center of the country could produce areas of heavy rain across minnesota, minneapolis, you could be dealing with rain on saturday. that same storm system heads eastbound impacting us right here in new york city coming up later on in the afternoon on sunday. pattie ann, ainsley? thank you, maria. thanks. a

on top of that we are going to see another storm work its way in for next week. just kind of piling up on the damage that s already out there. temperatures today will top out in the lower 50s. that is the low average for this time of year. so we will see some sun, that will help a little bit. but again we are still looking at some chilly temperatures for all those people without power. as we continue into next week, the election day forecast, looks a little messy down across the southeast. we will see some rain start to move back in to the carolinas, into georgia, as this area of low pressure starts to track its way up the mid-atlantic region, again. this is not going to be anything like sandy. however, we are still looking for a couple inches of rain out of this storm. and with the damage, we ve seen at the beaches, we are actually looking for those waves to perhaps cause even more beach erosion than we ve already seen. looks like the time frame would be wednesday night into thursday
