New False Idol Brewing in North Richland Hills offers wide range of IPAs, stouts, sours and ‘beertails’
Since opening during the pandemic, the brewery was built with necessary precautions.

One year ago, False Idol Brewing’s North Richland Hills facility was little more than a dusty shell. But since then, the cavernous blank space has come to be known as a suds-filled “Wolf’s Den.”
But construction of the 800-barrel brewhouse and taproom was but only the latest evolutionary step for founders Dominique VanAusdall and Brandon Pitzer. After creating the business in 2018, False Idol’s first beers were brewed in 2019, and finally, in 2020 of all years, False Idol opened its doors to the public not too far from the Northeast campus of Tarrant County College, as well as another Mid Cities craft beer gem, Brutal Beerworks.
