The US embassy in Phnom Penh and American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (AmCham) will take a four-point strategic approach to ramp up US business and investment into the Kingdom.
A Joint Working Plan was signed to this end on April 2 between US ambassador Patrick Murphy and AmCham president Anthony Galliano.
The plan centres on four key objectives – to support sales of US products and services, and increase awareness of the country’s brands and standards; and to work closely with the government and stakeholders to improve the Kingdom’s business climate.

Cambodian story of success comes home with Louisiana Chicken branch

Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken came to the land of its owner’s birth last year with the opening of its first restaurant in Cambodia, in the capital’s Chip Mong Noro Mall.
The history of LFFC is one dominated by the drive to succeed of Cambodians in the US, with one – Michael Eng – taking over the entire chain in 2009 after almost two decades of hard work.

Just days before Christmas, 400 front-line workers at Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital enjoyed a lunch served by community leaders.
Baig Mohammed, owner of Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken, and Shapnik Khan joined with State Rep. Ron Reynolds and Fort Bend County District Attorney Brian Middleton on Monday, Dec. 21, to provide the boxed lunches of fried chicken and fish and veggie burgers for the hospital’s staff that has been fighting the war on COVID-19 since March.
