Cool Canyon Nights, a popular outdoor music series, will return to McKelligon Canyon Amphitheatre this summer
The concerts will start at 7:15 p.m. on Thursdays, June 17- Sept. 2. Local performers will be on the patio stage starting at 6 p.m. Amphitheater doors will open between 6:30 and 7 p.m.
The series, in its 10th year, is sponsored by WestStar and produced by Townsquare Media and El Paso Live.

Agents Seize 900 Pounds of Abandoned Mary Jane
EDINBURG, TX – Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents seize more than 900 pounds of marijuana worth over $730K Tuesday.
Yesterday morning, Rio Grande City Border Patrol Station (RGC) agents working near Chapeno, TX, discovered and followed the shoe prints of several individuals making their way north from the Rio Grande river. The prints led agents to an abandoned truck containing bundles of marijuana. The marijuana weighed over 430 pounds and is worth more than $345K. The narcotics were seized and transported to the Border Patrol station.
Early this morning, RGC agents working near Los Arrieros, TX, with the assistance of a canine, followed foot sign of another group of individuals making their way north from the Rio Grande. The concert will take place at the Memorial Reserve section of the park; doors open at 4 p.m.
Groups will be limited to eight people, and participants will be assigned a spot in the park upon arrival. Attendees will be required to follow COVID-19 health and safety protocols, including wearing face masks and physical distancing.
