(CBSLA) Like hospitals across the Southland, UCI Medical Center is running out of beds in its intensive care unit. A UCI spokesperson told CBSLA early Monday morning that the hospital was treating 117 COVID-19 patients overnight, the most since the pandemic began. “When it’s completed it will accommodate up to 50 patients at a time,” Brian O’Dea, with UCI Health, said. “We have not decided exactly how we are going to use it, but the main purpose is to decompress some of the volume in the emergency department and the inpatient units.”

(CBSLA) The crash, which involved a big-rig, occurred before 5:45 a.m. on the northbound 5 Freeway, just north of Stadium Way. A sedan appeared to have caught fire during the crash. The collision also created a fuel spill. The circumstances of the wreck were not confirmed. It’s unclear if anyone was hurt. California Highway Patrol shut down all northbound lanes. Traffic was being diverted at Broadway and the northbound 110 Freeway transition ramp.

(Credit: Pulaud Kehtar) The fire broke out before 3:20 a.m. in the 19100 block of West Vanowen Street. Los Angeles Fire Department crews rushed to find a one-story home engulfed in flames. It took about 30 minutes to bring the flames under control. There were no injuries. However, a family of four resides in the home. According to the fire department, a 35-year-old autistic man who lives there is missing. A fire department official said it’s believed he may have become scared and ran away.

(CBSLA) The crash occurred in the area of Hawthorne Boulevard and West 103rd Street at around 11:50 p.m. Both victims were rushed to a local hospital with critical injuries. Their names were not released. There was no word regarding whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash. Hawthorne Boulevard was shut down in both directions for several hours early Wednesday. It was expected to reopen before 8 a.m.

To Damaging Cisco’s Network Los Angeles Dec 14, 2020 NRIpress.club/Ramesh/ A.Gary Singh Sudhish Kasaba Ramesh pleaded guilty in federal court in San Jose to intentionally accessing a protected computer without authorization and recklessly causing damage. According to the plea agreement, Ramesh admitted to intentionally accessing Cisco Systems’ cloud infrastructure that was hosted by Amazon Web Services without Cisco’s permission on September 24, 2018. Ramesh worked for Cisco and resigned in approximately April 2018. During his unauthorized access, Ramesh admitted that he deployed a code from his Google Cloud Project account that resulted in the deletion of 456 virtual machines for Cisco’s WebEx Teams application, which provided video meetings, video messaging, file sharing, and other collaboration tools. He further admitted that he acted recklessly in deploying the code, and consciously disregarded the substantial risk that his conduct could harm to Cisco.
