Security will be in place at all hours of the day at the North Bay Regional Health Centre’s facility on King Street West after a staff member with Nipissing Mental Health Housing and Support Services was assaulted at the complex last week.
A statement from the hospital’s manager of communications and the volunteer department, Kim McElroy, said security has been increased to 24-7 out of an abundance of caution.

She said due to higher staff numbers during the day, the hospital previously only provided security in the evening.
