LOGANSPORT The theory is that white bagging insurance companies requiring hospitals to use a specific specialty pharmacy for intensive treatments instead of the hospitals using their own resources will save money while not changing patient care.

A Logansport man who faces felony charges of aggravated battery and battery by means of a deadly weapon will remain behind bars at the Cass County Jail without bond. Jesse Baumgardner, 20, was originally arrested on attempted murder charges after allegedly stabbing his mother in her residence at 928 Erie Ave. on Sunday, Nov. 29.
During his initial hearing, Judge Stephen Kitts set the defendant’s next court date for 1 p.m. Feb. 18, 2021. Also on Thursday, Jay Hirschauer, Baumgardner’s public defender, filed a petition with the court for psychiatric, psychological, competency, and mental status evaluation.
