The former owner and operator of a social club in Nashville pleaded guilty today to violating campaign finance laws to benefit Tennessee State Senator Brian Kelsey’s 2016 campaign for U.S. Congress.
The spending, by both CUNA and its federal political action committee, CULAC, follows more than $433,000 in campaign ads in the primaries. Additionally, CULAC, in coordination with CUNA’s state League partners, donated $3.6 million directly to 379 candidates for the House and Senate.
