UNDP Turkey Supports Employability and Social Cohesion in five provinces through Vocational and Technical Trainings in the area of Renewable Energy Sector

“Increasing Employability for Syrian Refugees and Turkish Host Communities in the Renewable Energy Sector” Project, which is financed by the Republic of Korea, and implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in partnership with the Ministry of National Education (MoNE), Directorate General for Life-Long Learning, aims to benefit an estimated 500 people by increasing their access to employability in the renewable energy sector in Bursa, Kocaeli, Konya, Mersin and Hatay provinces. The Project, where the participants will be provided vocational and technical skills through applied trainings also intends to create an ecosystem by bringing private sector actors, public institutions, business organizations, NGOs/INGOs, chambers of commerce and industry, organized industrial zones, and academia

Islamabad : Syeda Adeela Bokhari from Economic Affairs Division has said that the ministry has devised a new draft policy to ensure the accountability and financial transparency of the INGOs/NGOs which will be implemented after the formal approval from the federal cabinet.
Ms Adeela was addressing a webinar on ‘The State of Civil Society in Pakistan’ jointly organised by Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) and Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP) here Saturday.
Ms Adeela said that her division regulates only those INGOs which receive a financial contribution from the foreign countries and donors. She said that the new policy is expected to respond to various issues and concerns of the sector. Besides, a web-portal is being created to facilitate online applications for the registration of INGOs/NGOs with the EAD.

Support from the Embassy will vary till maximum € 50.000. The Embassy does not provide funding for projects where the Finnish LCF is the sole source of funding.
