A scene has been preserved following the discovery of a body in the Comeragh Mountains area of Waterford today, 19/04/2021.
A multiagency search operation has been ongoing in the area since Sunday 18th April 2021 following a missing person report.
No further information is available at this stage. Investigations are ongoing.
Earlier this evening:
Searches are continuing this evening in County Waterford for a 37-year-old woman missing in the Comeragh mountains.
The woman was last seen at 1:45pm yesterday (Sunday) afternoon.
She was an experienced mountain runner.
Cloud cover increased over the Comeraghs this afternoon, which led to the Coastguard rescue helicopter 117 returning to base.

SEARCH TEAMS AND a rescue helicopter are searching the Comeragh Mountains for a missing trail runner.
The woman, who is in her 40s, was reported missing on Sunday by a relative at 3pm.
According to Liz Browne, a spokeswoman for the South Eastern Mountain Rescue Association, search operations were hampered yesterday by mist and fog on the Waterford mountain range.

Rescue teams are asking landowners to search their land on the Comeragh mountains in Co, Waterford, where a Tipperary woman who was out hill running is missing for almost 24 hours. The female runner, in her 30s/40s and from the Tipperary-Waterford border, was last seen or heard at about 12.45pm on Sunday.
The married woman was due to return from her run along the Coumshingaun Loop trail at 2pm but when her husband did not hear from her he alerted emergency services at 3pm. The South Eastern Mountain Rescue Association (SEMRA), Search and Rescue Dog Association Ireland, Rescue 117 of the Coast Guard and local Gardaí have been involved in the search operation since Sunday.

LANSING, Mich. (AP) A group of environmental, political and business leaders in Michigan announced an initiative Monday to invest in recycling infrastructure and eventually triple the state s recycling rate.
The NextCycle Michigan initiative has committed $97 million since last year in state and private funds to recycling projects with partners such as Goodwill Industries, Keurig Dr. Pepper, Henry Ford Health System and Meijer. These funds are to be used to support efforts to recycle products and divert materials in manufacturing from landfills.
The state also has awarded $4.9 million in Renew Michigan Grants for 45 communities in the state. Both of the efforts will help the state lay the groundwork for ambitious sustainability goals such as carbon neutrality by 2050, said Liesl Clark, director of the Michigan Department of Envi
