Jenny Gough moved to Coober Pedy, South Australia, back in 1961. Famed for its opal mines, residents live underground in dugout homes to shield from the outback heat. In 1986 Jenny and her late husband Ron struck gold when they found $50,000 worth of opal below their dugout. After retiring from running the Old Timer s Mine tourist attraction, Jenny stills lives underground - and has for 62 years!
