suck diesel right out of underground tanks. let s get to our senior correspondent casey stiegel live in dallas with more on this. these are very sophisticated crimes. wait until you hear this. some involve specially retrofitted vehicles with a trap door built inside and then elaborate pumping systems inside. look at this video from a surveillance video at a houston gas station. the minivan ton right-hand side of your screen casually pulls up to a pump but happens to be where the storage tank inlet is for the entire station s underground supply. thieves open the door, stick a hose out the bottom and pump hundreds of gallons of gas into containers inside their van and then drive off. what s more, it happens a whole lot more than you think. these thefts are committed by people who are their
