If you have never grown your own transplants for your
garden, perhaps this is the year to try.
First, what is a “transplant?” In gardening, transplant is the process of planting seeds inside and then moving the new growth, or
sprout, outside.
Transplanting is easy and often costs less. You get to watch the new growth happen up close. It also lets you grow different kinds of fruits and vegetables that may have trouble growing from seed outside.

A Hong Kong court has found seven pro-democracy activists guilty of charges related to anti-government protests in 2019.
Among those
convicted on Thursday were media business leader Jimmy Lai and 82-year-old Martin Lee, a longtime democracy movement supporter. Lee has often been called Hong Kong’s “father of democracy.”
The two were found guilty with five former pro-democracy lawmakers. All of the individuals are in their 60s or older. The defendants are to be sentenced on April 16. Some legal experts are predicting jail terms of 12 to 18 months. The longest possible sentence is 5 years.
Stretch, a new robot from Boston Dynamics, is designed to help warehouse workers by moving containers. Its designers say it can carry 23 kilogram boxes in existing buildings.

Argentine artist Marcelo Toledo usually creates his works out of metal. But now Toledo is working with new materials: used
masks and
syringes from the COVID-19 pandemic. His aim is to create a show that explores the painful effects of the virus.
Toledo has made jewelry for the musical “Evita” on Broadway in New York. He has created special pieces for people like former U.S. President Barack Obama and singer Madonna.
Toledo was among the first in Argentina to become infected with COVID-19 a year ago. He was hospitalized for eight days. The experience affected him deeply. It led him to begin creating new kinds of artwork, such as a 14-meter mask with the Argentine flag, which he placed on the famous Obelisk in Buenos Aires.
